I wanted to take some pictures outside of the studio today so I went for the “sun is going down, guy in a suit is standing next to a car” motif. I think they turned out quite well.
Teach You How To Sing The Blues
Just wanted to put up some more portrait shots for the sake of showing off some more portrait shots. The new blue backdrop is a heavy, deep blue and I like the feel it gives off.
Pinwheel
I think this counts as macro photography but I’m not going to make the final call on that. I just wanted to take an interesting picture of an interesting device. It’s called a Wartenberg Wheel and it’s mainly used to test neurological impulses in nerve endings. I like the shine coming off of the metal and the sort of cold, sterilized feel to the picture.
The Akuma Sessions – Fashion
I don’t generally do the high-fashion style shoots and this is about as close to that as I’ll probably ever come. This is what I like to call high fashion on a shoestring budget. The photos turned out good enough anyway.
The Akuma Sessions – Safari
This particular setup wasn’t actually planned in any way, just kind of thrown together with wardrobe items left sitting out in the open. I thought the idea of a confident female game-hunter type wearing traditionally masculine garb would make for some interesting images and I’m confident that these shots prove me correct.
The Akuma Sessions – Tea Party
This was one of the more fun setups that we did together, mainly because she actually took the time to make the flowering tea and share it with me, hesitant as I am with warm drinks. I quite enjoyed it actually. I enjoyed the photos just as much.
The Akuma Sessions – Metal
Today the so-called “Akuma Sessions” continue with a rock n’ roll themed set that utilized both of my guitars thus giving them more attention than they’ve seen in recent months. They’re both so pretty and as such they turn up in a lot of my concept shoots because I pretend that by doing so they somehow are worth the money I spent on them.

Over the weekend I did a series of photos with my friend Maegan aka Akuma and I will now post for you some of the amazing shots we got. She’s one of my favorite models to work with because in addition to being absolutely stunning she’s also fun to be around in general. I think that shows in some of these images. I’ll be posting a new set every day this week.

I don’t have much to say about this particular piece other than I really love how the lighting turned out. Enough to make the photo full of life without drowning out the detail. One of my favorite shots of the last few weeks.
Shrug
I’ve been setting up studio space upstairs for the last few days and I asked my brother what he thought of the new setup. This was his reaction. I’m exactly sure how enthusiastic he is about the whole thing.
